General Comments:
I am enjoying making Dallas my new home. My goals are to someday have my own international goaltending school in the DFW area, training goalies that will someday go pro. I want to lead by example, on and off the ice.
What I believe are the keys to becoming a great goaltender: Focus, Intensity, having a positive attitude and giving everything you got every single time you step on the ice.

GOALIE COACH: BILL IVEY (BIO)

Started playing Goal in 1974, the year the Philadelphia Flyers won the first of their 2 Stanley Cups.

I played in men’s leagues all over the Delaware Valley playing several times a week.  I continued to play in every area we lived over the next 30 plus years. I have had to change my game as the game changed and I grew older.  The main reason I continue to play is the advancements in equipment and love of the position.

I still play so I know what the view looks like from behind a cage as well as the view from a mask with out a cage…

For the past 9 years, I have played in the DFW area and coached goalies both on staff and privately.

In 2007, I was the goalie consultant for the coaching staff of the Texas Brahmas during there first open tryout camps at the NYTEX Sports complex. I assisted Coach Wildfong with his adult teaching clinics just as I did for Mark Frankenfeld when he coached the Texas Tornados.  During the past season, I was the first Goalie coach for the 2007 Jr. Brahmas.

I have worked goalie camps with Mitch Korn and Billy Pye. I also communicate with the Staff of GDI here in DFW.  I constantly look for ways to improve teaching methods, coaching methods and mentoring concepts to support goalies of all levels.

My passion for the sport of Ice Hockey and the goalie position has not slowed. This position is one of the most important on the team and yet gets the least amount of support. I am, as Coach Knute Anderson told me, an advocate for the goalies.  All goalies need help and the JR Brahmas know that. That is why the JR Brahmas have two coaches on staff.
