Midget Major A Gold  Texas Shoot Out Tournament winners! Sept. 1, 2008

Labor Day Tournament win!

The Midget Major A team had a very successful weekend, winning the Midget Major Gold championship.

What's most noteworthy is that two of their wins were come from behind, and their championship game win over DJHA, was the day after a loss to that very same team. The Brahmas regrouped, refocused and rallied to a hard fought championship victory! Go BRAHMAS!

Mite Junior Brahmas Take Second Place in the Texas Shoot Out Tournament Sept. 1, 2008

It was a GREAT weekend of hockey for the Mite Jr. Brahmas.  The players skated hard all weekend and displayed excellent teamwork and determination.  The Jr. Brahmas beat the Texas Aces, Dallas Stars Selects and the Ice Jets to make it to the championship game.  They played a great game and never gave up, but were defeated by DJHA.  They brought home an awesome silver trophy to display at the rink and were all awarded medals.  The coaches and parents are thrilled with the effort and focus they showed this weekend.  We’re looking forward to an exciting season of hockey!

What Brahmas Curse? March 30, 2008

Jr Brahmas Midget Minor team won the NTXHL League championship Whispers had pointed out that no
Brahmas team had ever won a league title. Well, you can now put that silly urban legend in
the same column as Boston’s Curse of the Bambino.

The Regular season champion Jr Brahmas Midget Minor team won the NTXHL League championship this
weekend, beating a scrappy DJHA Penguins team, in the first two (best of three) games on
Saturday. Game number one was a nail-biter as the Pens led 1-0 thru the first 42 minutes. Then
the Brahmas did what they have done all season long, they found their way to win. Two goals within
36 seconds put game #1 in the win column.

Later that day, the game seemed in hand when DJHA rallied with two goals to tighten the score at 4-
3.  Another 3rd period Brahmas goal, and the victory was sealed, 5-3.

The boys and the coaches had a great season, with a league games record of 25-1.  Congrats to the
team!

Now, it’s time to cheer on the big Brahmas in their quarterfinal playoffs!
